Critical Mass brings together artists, performers, musicians, dancers, writers and thinkers whose works seek to divert established pathways and political narratives. Critical Mass is a festival within a festival - a place for decentring, agitating, questioning and dissolving the boundaries of form.

Jîyan - Life Drawing by Miss Muse

Jîyan (meaning 'life' and also the stem of the word 'jîn’, ‘woman' in Kurdish) is an immersive exhibition exploring the sacred, life-giving connection of womxn to nature. This is a multi-sensory experience with performances and workshops running over the weekend, produced by Viriditas; dancer/ choreographer of Kurdish Celtic origin, Leila Lois and photographer/ curator, Michaela Meadow.

This life drawing session is inspired by Jîyan’s themes of ‘honey & wildfire, strength & softness’. Tea, cake and drawing materials provided. Come along for an immersive life drawing experience in the Jîyan exhibition space. Facilitated by curator and artist Michaela Meadow.
